Frequently, gold jewelry will be stamped with an identifier that indicates the purity level of the gold. Obviously, the purer it is, the more it is worth per pennyweight. Look for these identifiers on your gold jewelry:

10 karat gold: Look for 10k or 415 stamping
14 karat gold: Look for 14k or 583 stamping
18 karat gold: Look for 18k or 750 stamping
22 karat gold: Look for 22k or .91 stamping
24 karat gold: Look for 24k or 999 stamping

Please do not send jewelry that is not stamped, jewelry that is known to be gold-plated, or non-genuine costume jewelry. We can not buy it, nor will we pay to ship it back to you. If you want such an item returned to you, we will hold it in our store for 30 days free of charge. It will be your financial responsibility to ship your property back, if you still want it. Items: Place valuables such as scrap gold rings, broken jewelry, necklaces, etc., in an appropriately sized plastic "Zip-Lock" bag, or in aluminum foil. Place this inside a padded envelope.

Insert form & photo ID: Include the completed form along with a photocopy of a valid photo ID (driver's license, state ID card, etc) inside the envelope or box before sealing.

Send your package registered mail, so that your valuables can be "tracked" in transit to us.
Insure the package to sufficiently cover the contents.
